From Nieuwveen: the foundation is in (and so am I)
Lately I am often asked what I am actually going to do now. At the end of November I wrap up my time as a Salesforce technical architect at HOYA. So: time for a short status update.
The short answer is that I am going to build Apple software. The first app is called Declaruur. Freelancers use it to keep track of their hours, costs and kilometres per client, and to produce a neat timesheet in a few taps. The full update is on declaruur.nl, but here is the summary: the foundation is in. The roof isn’t on yet and the window frames are still in the van, but you can already stand on it just fine.
A look inside the app
Below you can see what the app looks like right now: the weekly overview, the clients and the screen with today’s hours. Click the image to view it larger. If you want to read the whole story, click the yellow bar at the bottom. That takes you to the blog on declaruur.nl. (The screenshot still shows the Dutch version of the app.)
And the rest?
At the moment I am programmer, marketing department, helpdesk and canteen lady all in one. Only the HR department is still vacant. No applications needed. I expect to have Declaruur in the App Store on 1 December, but somewhere in California there is someone who decides that, so I promise nothing.
In the meantime I remain available for IT consultancy and ad hoc assignments, including interim work. Do you have an IT problem where someone with more than 30 years of experience could help, for example an IT department that needs order or a migration that is stuck? Feel free to get in touch.
More later!
Pim
PS: the business cards are still at the printer.
